Wills & Estates
Last Will & Testament
Your Will is the legal document that describes how you want your Estate to be divided. A properly drafted Will is one of the most important documents of your life.
Wills play an important part in any Estate Plan and it is imperative that your Will is prepared in accordance with your wishes, your circumstances, and the law. Whether it is appointing an Executor, providing for the distribution of assets, the guardianship of dependents, funeral arrangements, or any other Will instructions, at Moore Legal, your goals are our goals.
Estate Administration
Estate Administration generally refers to the process of Executor(s) administering the Estate of the deceased. This may include distributing assets, paying debts, establishing trusts, accounting to beneficiaries, or any number of other instructions as set out in the Will.
A properly drafted Will should ensure your Estate is distributed as you wish - but a properly planned Estate should save your loved ones time, stress, and money.
We are experienced with Estate matters and will work with you and your accountants to ensure that your Estate is structured in the most advantageous way for yourself and your heirs. Following a passing, we will work with you to properly administer the Estate in accordance with the deceased’s wishes.
Powers of Attorney
While Wills have the ability to speak on your behalf after death, Powers of Attorney may speak on your behalf before death. Preparing Powers of Attorney for both personal care and property are an important aspect of your Estate plan.
These documents ensure that you have the ability to choose the person that will make decisions and maintain your assets during your absence or incapacity. The Power of Attorney also gives you the ability to provide directions to your selected attorney as well as place any restrictions upon the actions that they may exercise.
We have experience with drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney and will work with you to ensure that your wishes are well documented.
